This is a giant guide on all my all time favorite journal and self development resources. These are the programs, products and books I have learned the most from over the years. I have benefited massively from all of these resources, and I know you will too!

 

 JOURNAL GEAR:

Pentalic Sketch Book – My all time favorite journal. This is the blank, sketchbook style journal I recommend.

Canson Sketch Book – Another great blank sketch book journal I have used.

Pilot G2 Pens  – The pens I use (and chew on) while journaling.

Pilot G2 Ultra Fine Tip  – A great ultra fine (0.38mm) black pen I use for a majority of my black ink journal writing.

Sharpie Highlighter – Awesome retractable highlighters I use when reading books. Love that you don’t have to keep taking the cap on / off.

 

MY FAVORITE PROGRAMS:

Get The Edge – The first self development course I ever took. The Ultimate Edge helped me breakthrough lots of barriers and limiting beliefs. Without this program I would not be on the path I am today. Ultimate Edge was originally released back in the 90’s but still hold up to this day.

The 67 Steps – A great success course from Tai Lopez. If you can ignore the up sells (and opt out of the reoccurring monthly billing), this is a great program jam packed with lots of killer content and insights.

A Philosopher’s Notes – One of my favorite resources. Spark note style one page book summaries and lots of great information.

Stumbling On Happiness – Do you know what makes you happy? Daniel Gilbert would bet that you think you do, but you are most likely wrong. This book provides an awesome look into how our minds work and how we overthink our way out of happiness.

As a Man Thiketh – You can have whatever you want in life as long as you can think big enough. This book goes into how to cultivate your mind like a garden and sew the seeds of success.

Still Here – Aging is our last societal taboo, the thing we don’t like to accept. What does it mean to embrace aging, instead of running from it? Ram Dass is an epic teacher.

 

RELATIONSHIPS:

The Way of The Superior Man – My most gifted book, ever. Deida explores topics ranging from discovering your purpose, creating a fulfilling relationship, even ejaculating up the spine (yes, I’m serious).

How to Win Friends and Influence People – The quality of your life is the quality of your communication. This is a killer book all about how to communicate effectively.

Crucial Conversations – A fantastic communication book that gives you tools for talking when the stakes are high. This book has saved me many fights or miscommunications over the years.

The 5 Love Languages – Do not let the pink and purple cover fool you – this book will transform your relationships forever! Falling in love is easy. Staying in love—that’s the challenge. This book goes over the only 5 love languages we speak or understand.

 

HEALTH & WELLNESS:

No Nonsense Muscle Building – The first book I ever read on muscle building / fitness. Whether you are an aspiring bodybuilder, fitness model, competitive athlete or just want to look good in a bathing suit – this system has been proven to work time and time again.

How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy – The most comprehensive health book out there.

The Dark Side of Fat Loss – Shinning a little dark on fat loss. One of the best health books out there. Weather your goal is to lose weight, increase energy, or just feel healthy – my friend Sean Croxton has written a book that will teach you to do so.

REBOUNDER – A phenomenal way to exercise and energize your entire body (without having to leave your home). Rebounding is my favorite way to workout and relax. (our weekly wednesday health hack on rebounding)

The 4-Hour Work Week – An amazing book about escaping the 9-5, and joining the new rich and lifestyle design. This book has the tools to revolutionize the way you live life. (Check out the video summary here)

MONEY: Master The Game – Money can be an intimidating subject. Tony has a gift of breaking complex subjects down into simplest forms. This book will give you the strategies to create financial freedom for yourself and your family.

The War of Art – What keeps so many of us from doing what we long to do? Why do we face resistance when making any change? A must read for any creative who wants to avoid the roadblocks and ignore our inner naysayer. (Check out the video summary here)

The Power of Habit – An absolutely fascinating book that explores how habits are formed, changed and instilled for long term success.
